Vernissage Wed April 7 4pm-6pm

Maija Kovari:

"In my recent works I have been studying the concept of an object existing in space. What are the limits of this concept, what is needed, in order for us to identify a given form as real. In this piece I'm working with connotations that objects have written in them. How real can these meanings become, can they be more present in the situation than the object itself, and can they exist without anything concrete at all."

Maija Kovari is a third year student in the Degree Programme in Fine Arts of Tampere University of Applied Sciences. Her installations use familiar forms from everyday life, to build new approaches to the relation between space and the body of the observer.
